Ordinary People doing Amazing Things

District Governor

Lion Stewart Sherman-Kahn

As District Governor I am responsible for the overall management of the District and preside over a cabinet of some forty District Officers. To support me I will have two vice District Governors and together we form the Governors Team.

Born in Leicester in 1972 my formative years were spent in Worcestershire. After leaving Bromsgrove School with A levels, I started my Training as a Chartered Surveying at the College of Estate Management at Reading University while working at the Birmingham Valuation Office. I was elected a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors on 29 November 1996.

I am married to my husband Kash who is fully supportive of me in my role. From 2003 until 2008 I was involved and eventually ran Radio Lollipop at the Birmingham Children´s Hospital with a fundraising and broadcasting brief. In June 1999 I established Chamberlains Chartered Surveyors. A small but perfectly formed Surveying Practice based in Harborne. We have a varied case load and deal in both residential and commercial property matters.

I joined the Birmingham Chinatown in 2012. Became Secretary in 2013 and President in 2014. I have also served as Zone and Region Chair and of course as Second and First Vice Governor.

Above all else I am a proud Lion who will be prepared to listen carefully to members throughout the District in order to continue to enhance the quality of service, fellowship and fun that already exists.

This year I have the honour of serving District 105M as District Governor and I will also be helping to prepare for the forthcoming Re-districting in 2019 which will present both challenges and opportunities for Lions within District 105M.

I hope to visit as many Club Meetings and Events during my year.

Anyone wishing to contact me for advice can me.
