Land's End to John O'Groats (LEJOG)

Lion Ian Haffner's Bike Ride for Lions

Between 9th and 20th July 2011, District Sight Officer Lion Ian Haffner from Worcester Lions and his colleague, Pam Saunders, are planning to cycle LEJOG otherwise known as Land’s End to John O’Groats this is approximately 900 miles, which they hope to cover in 12 days which is an average of 75 miles per day (contingency allowance though of an extra 2 days for tired legs or in case they get lost!!!)

Monies raised from this ride will be split between Lions Clubs International and Crohn’s and Colitis UK. The latter is a charity aiming to improve life for everyone affected by Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), the most common forms being Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis. Together these conditions affect about 250,000 people in the United Kingdom. Ian and Pam will be meeting all their own expenses, and 100% of funds raised will go to the charities.

If anybody wants to join for any part of the ride or meet up where we're stopping please ring Lion Joy 0770 303 4625, we would love to see some new faces.
