The role of the District Membership Officer is
- to help clubs in the District in any membership matters from retention issues to membership drives.
- To encourage clubs to look at membership in a positive way and to help and advise as needed in these issues.
- To be a "friend" to the clubs when all is not well.
- To liaise closely with the Leadership team, District Treasurer and District Registrar as problems with paperwork, dues etc can sometimes indicate membership problems.
- To mediate within clubs when asked.
The Membership Officer is part of the Membership, Extension, Retention and Leadership Development (MERL) Team
